A fully recorded, release-ready song, tracked and mixed in one hour.

The Henhouse Popup Sessions began in 2024, when Nashville-based Juno Award-winning producer/guitarist Steve Dawson rented a studio in Vancouver during a few days off while on tour. He brought in some of his talented friends and invited artists and songwriters to book a time slot to record with his band. They worked at a fast clip - 6 songs a day - but the results were outstanding.

Since then, The Henhouse Popup has made several appearances throughout the year in different cities.

The Henhouse Hang is a unique recording workshop hosted and taught by award-winning producer/engineer Steve Dawson.
The Hang started at The Henhouse Studio in Nashville in 2023, and now also happens annually in Vancouver, BC at The Warehouse Studio,
and Calgary, AB at OCL Studios.

We also hold a 2-day Mixing-focussed class in Nashville each year called “Mixing With Steve”
