Overdubs/Musician

Have Steve play on a song or songs remotely. Steve can add acoustic, electric guitars, slide guitar, lap steel, banjo, pedal steel and more to your songs. He will just need a rough mix to track to and a quick discussion of what you’re looking for in the tracks.

Overdub/Musician Rates (including studio, engineering and playing):
$250/song (1-4 songs)
$200/song (5+ songs)

Mixing Only

Steve will take your tracks that are already done and mix them through the API console and analog equpiment. World-class converters are used to get the digital audio into the analog realm at which time your song will be mixed through the console, outboard gear and an incredible master bus chain. Prices include 2 revisions free of charge (After that, revisions are charged on an hourly basis). Prices reflect tracks that are complete, more or less edited, etc. If extensive editing is required, there will be additional charges, but that will be determined before he starts - no surprise charges after the fact!

Mixing Rates:
$350/song (1-5 songs) Including 2 revisions
$325/song (6+ songs) Including 2 revisions

Producing

Production rates are a bit tricky to post. The reason is that production really varies in scope from project to project. It doesn’t make sense to have a rate to produce when you could be a 2-piece acoustic folk duo, or a full rock band with a 5-piece horn section. Those projects require different amounts of space, time, and equipment and just would not cost the same. So this is meant to give you a rough idea - call it a starting place. The best thing to do is to contact Steve here to discuss your project and get the ball rolling. In almost every case we look at the project, a rough budget, and customize each project to fit your needs.

Have Steve produce your song/album (at The Henhouse Studio) - $1000/song
This includes the studio, Steve producing and playing, an assistant at the studio for tracking (if needed), and the song gets fully mixed. The only things this doesn’t include are food, other musician’s fees, and mastering. It’s a great way to work if you’re doing an EP or a full album. We’re off the clock, and just work until the songs are complete.

All-Inclusive Album (at The Henhouse Studio) - $10-20,000 (depends on number of songs, players, type of music, approach, etc)
This includes all of the above services, but also any other basic musician fees (extra musician fees can be discussed as needed), food, and mastering. Basically you pay the fee, get here, get a place to stay, and Steve takes care of the rest up to completion.
